Sun protection is such a controvertial topic! We wanted to offer something that will protect your skin when you're playing in the intense afternoon sun, and that won't damage the rest of your body. 

We've included 21% non nano zinc oxide in the this light and easy to apply balm. If you compare it to other sunscreens on the market that contain the same percentage of zinc oxide it would have an SPF of somewhere between 25 and 30. Please note that this product has NOT been tested for SPF so we can't make any claim that it works as a sunscreen. Please test a small area before relying on it. Once you're happy that it works please reapply at least every 2 hours and after playing in the water. It does have a light white sheen on some complexions. This is normal as the zinc oxide is the white componenet and that is what is protecting you. It works by reflecting the sun rays away from your skin.
